LibraryThe library is part of a school community facility on the Yankalilla Area school site serving the public as well as the school students. The library is staffed by two qualified teacher librarians who work with students to develop their independent research skills. The children's collection is designed to support the students in their recreational reading as well as their school curriculum. It can be accessed by students within school hours and beyond. Older students have the advantage of accessing a wider range of resources because of the community component. Other resources which can be used by children after school hours are computers, Nintendo DS games and Playstations. More detailed information about the library can be found on the following link. Children are encouraged to read widely as a leisure time activity and as a reflection of this we have a great range of children's fiction and non-fiction books as well as books and tapes. Children are able to reserve items and are encouraged to do so themselves as part of developing their independent learning skills. Older students have the advantage of accessing a wider range of resources because of our community component. Our library is also an access point for Centrelink and the Internet. | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
