Communication

Parent/School Communication

At Yankalilla Area School we understand the importance of good communication between the school and our families. On our Communication Menu, developed to outline the forms of communication between school and families, you will see that there are many ways that we use to keep our families up-to-date.

Families are always welcome to ring or visit our front office during the hours noted on Contact Us. Parents wishing to meet with their child(ren)s teacher may contact them via a phone call to the front office, via Class DoJo, or via email.

It is important that our families keep the school informed of any changes to their contact details and this must be done in writing, by completing a ‘Change of Contact Details’ form available from the front office.

Facebook

Facebook is a great way for families to keep informed on what has been happening, receive reminders and find out about upcoming events. Just search ‘Yankalilla Area School’ and like our page.

School Newsletters

We are pleased and excited to inform you that we are now producing a new eNewsletter with Schoolzine. The move to this new format will enable us to communicate with the school community across multiple channels. It will promote and enhance our engagement with parents, students and the wider community.

We believe you’ll find the eNewsletter highly engaging, as it will provide us with a more efficient and effective means of connecting with you. The new format will allow the inclusion of video, photo galleries, online bookings, mobile app, feedback forms, calendars and so much more.

The newsletter also has a sponsorship section which provides a great opportunity for local businesses to engage with our parent community. If you would like to be a part of this, please contact Lori Turner at the school - lori.turner336@schools.sa.edu.au

Families can self-subscribe to the newsletter HERE. In an effort to reduce paper consumption we will no longer be printing the newsletter, however if you are unable to access the newsletter electronically we can add you to our mailing list. Please contact the school or email lori.turner336@schools.sa.edu.au if you would like to be added to the mailing list.

To download the Schoolzine app on your mobile phone or device, please see instructions HERE.

Class Dojo

Classes in the Junior Years use Class Dojo to communicate with their families. The class teacher will provide families with instructions on how to access their Class Dojo.

For information or assistance with any of the above contact the Data Manager, Lori Turner via email on lori.turner336@schools.sa.edu.au.
