YAS (You Are Safe) Ambassadors

YAS Ambassadors represent the R-12 population of the school.

They meet at Friday lunchtimes on even weeks to work together to ensure our school is a safe environment for all students. 

Established in 2018 the group has already been responsible for painting inspirational quotes on toilet doors, producing a play and activity for R-2 students and learning about the schools Anti-Bullying Policy and making some appropriate changes.

The vision for the ambassadors is to eventually be skilled enough to be able to deal with any inappropriate, unsafe behaviour as a group, believing this will have a greater impact on student behaviour.

The Ambassadors were instrumental in implementing the ‘Bullying - No Way’ Strategy at Yankalilla Area School.
